Installation Overview:
You can complete the installation from your office—there’s no need to be offsite. In fact, we recommend installing it as soon as possible so we can confirm the client has registered with the VPN server. You can test the VPN connection later at home or using your phone’s hotspot.
Please install it only on your Berry-issued laptop—there’s no need to install it on your desktop or personal computer. One exception would be if you have a Berry-issued desktop at home for remote work.
A video walkthrough is included in this email for reference. One thing to note: the browser window that appears during installation may pop up behind the Company Portal window.
Installation Steps (Estimated time: 5–10 minutes):
- Reboot your laptop.
- Open Company Portal (search for it in the Windows search bar).
- Locate and click on FortiClient. It should appear as a featured app
- Click Install.
- Wait 2–5 minutes for the installation to complete.
- A browser window will open with an option to Click Open.
- This window may appear behind Company Portal.
- You may be prompted to sign into your Berry account first. If so, sign in and then click Open.
- FortiClient will launch automatically. After a few moments, you’ll see a confirmation that you're connected.
How to use the VPN:
Right click on it and open FortiClient. Click on Remote Access and then click on Connect. You will be prompted to enter your username and password along with MFA.
Once you are connected, the screen will show the following.
When you no longer need VPN access, simply click Disconnect.
