How do I manually map a network share?
Answer:
Windows 11

Open File Explorer:
- Press
Win + E
or click the File Explorer icon on the taskbar.

Navigate to Network:
- In the left pane, click on
This PC
.

Map Network Drive:
- Click on the three-dot menu button in the top bar.
- Select
Map network drive
from the drop-down menu.

Specify the Drive and Folder:
- In the "Drive" field, select a drive letter from the drop-down list.
- In the "Folder" field, enter the network path to the shared folder (e.g.,
\\servername\sharename
).

Authentication (if required):
- If the shared folder requires credentials, check the option
Connect using different credentials
.
- Click
Finish
.

Enter Network Credentials:
- If prompted, enter the username and password required to access the shared folder.

Access the Mapped Drive:
- Once connected, the mapped drive will appear under
This PC
in File Explorer.
