How to Create a YuJa Protected Quiz in Canvas

Step 1: Canvas

1. Log into your Canvas Account
2. Click the Quizzes tab.
3.  Click “+ Quiz” to create a new quiz. 

4. Under Quiz Restrictions, enable YuJa for Test Proctoring. YuJa will automatically create an access code that will be applied once students access the quiz.
5. Click Edit to access proctor settings for Yuja.

6. Click the Proctoring Mode you want to enable.
   • Automated Proctoring: Offers essential proctoring features through the Verity browser extension within compatible browsers. This mode may also be used within the Lockdown App.
   • Lockdown App: Offers additional security features that can be applied to safeguard the integrity of quizzes.

7. Click which restrictions you would like enabled.

8. Lastly click Apply. You can now add questions to your quiz.
