Windows 10 Search

Problem:

Windows 10 Search from the task bar. "Type here to search" does not function properly. Clicking on it does not place the cursor in the search bar or only does so for a second.

Solution:

Steps

  1. Click the windows button > Settings (the gear)
  2. In "Find a setting" search for Update and select Check for update.
  3. Check for updates
  4. Download and install all available updates.
  5. Reboot if necessary and repeat this process until no updates are available.
