How to Track Document Access in OneDrive

Step 1: Access OneDrive

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to the OneDrive website (https://onedrive.live.com ).
  2. Sign in to your Microsoft account using your Berry credentials.

Step 2: Locate the Document

  1. Once you're logged in to OneDrive, locate the document you want to track the access of.

Step 3: Share the Document

  1. Select the document by clicking on it to open the file options menu.
  2. Click on the "Share" button in the toolbar at the top of the page.

Step 4: Manage Access

  1. In the sharing pane that appears on the right side of the screen, you'll see a list of people who have access to the document.
  2. To track document access, click on the "Manage access" link below the list of names.

Step 5: View Access History

  1. In the "Manage access" pane, you'll see a list of people who have accessed or edited the document.
  2. Next to each person's name, you'll see icons indicating whether they have viewed or edited the document.
  3. You can also see the date and time of their last access.
  4. Scroll through the list to review the access history.

Step 6: Additional Options

  1. To remove someone's access to the document, hover over their name and click on the "X" icon.
  2. You can also change the permissions for individual users by clicking on the dropdown menu next to their name and selecting a different permission level.
  3. If you want to revoke access for everyone and make the document private again, click on the "Stop sharing" button at the bottom of the "Manage access" pane.

Step 7: Close the Sharing Pane

  1. Once you've finished reviewing the access history or making changes to permissions, click on the "Close" button at the top-right corner of the sharing pane to close it.
  2. You'll be returned to the document view in OneDrive.
